(*) Litton Springs is now spelled Lytton. The original owner of Lytton Springs was sea captain William Litton. He built a plush resort hotel in 1875, which had its own railroad stop. It was named after the mineral springs on the property. A misspelling on maps later changed Litton's name to Lytton.
