Raymond (Dutch) Pankratz, 54, of St. Nazianz, died unexpectedly Sunday evening at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where he was taken Sunday morning after becoming ill suddenly.

He was born Aug. 24, 1909, at Valders, a son of Louis and Angeline Christel Pankratz. He graduated from Valders High School and was married Sept. 30, 1930 to the former Elsie Vogt of Clarks Mills.

Surviving are his wife; his parents; three sons, William of Chilton, Howard of New Holstein, and Paul of Rt. 1, Valders; two daughters, Judith and Jane, both at home; five brothers, Ralph of Winona, Minn,. Donald, Robert and James, all of Manitowoc, and Leroy of Youngstown, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Kool, Milwaukee, Mrs. Dorothy Miller and Mrs. Florence Krueger, both of Manitowoc, and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Christianson Funeral Home, St. Nazianz, and at 10:15 a.m. at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. The Rev. Denis Cooney, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
