Schnell, Henry Frank (Dec. 1, 1900-April 24, 1962 –husband of Elizabeth Schamber [1915-1994] –married Aug. 30, 1939 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton –son of Joseph Schnell and Theresa Singer –born Town of Eaton –was co-owner of the Riesterer and Schnell Farm Implement dealership at 23215 US Highway 151 in Section 18, Town of Eaton –started this business in 1931 in partnership with the brothers Frank and John Riesterer –this business began as a filling station, expanded as a tavern in 1934, and became a car dealership and then a farm implement dealership –on April 24, 1939 purchased a half-acre lot just west from the Riesterer & Schnell business and had a house built –lived here until his death in 1962 –after his death, this house was moved in 1965 across the road to the lot at 23408 US Highway 151 –died from “internal hemorrhage, self-inflicted shot in chest –suicide, shot self in chest at home”) –buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Section 4, Row 8, Lot 18] [marriage record Manitowoc 29-81] [death record Manitowoc 56-569]

Henry Frank Schnell, 61, of Rt. 4, Chilton, took his life Tuesday night at his home. He had been in ill health for some time.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Christianson Funeral Home, St. Nazianz, and at 10:15 am, at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz, the Rev. Denis Cooney officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Schnell was born Dec. 1, 1900, in the Town of Eaton, son of the late Joe Schnell and Theresa Singer Schnell. He married Elizabeth Schamber Aug. 30, 1939, at St. Nazians and operated a tavern at the intersection of Highways 32 and 151 for 30 years. He sold his tavern a short time ago.
He was a member of Redman of Kiel, a lifelong member of St. Gregory Catholic Cburch and was a member of Catholic Foresters.
Survivors include his wife, a son, a daughter, mother of St. Nazianz; three brothers, Joseph of St. Nazianz, Ted of Ladysmith and Norbert of Rt.1, Kiel; five sisters, Mrs. Julius Mayre of DeForest, Mrs. Elton McCarthy of Sheboygan, Mrs. Clem Schwoerer of Rt.1, Kiel, Mrs. Ray Stahl of rural Kiel and Mrs. Bernard Schwoerer of Newton; and two grandchildren. A brother, John, also preceded him in death.
