Mrs. Martha Schwab, 85, of Calumet Homestead Nursing Home, New Holstein, died Sunday, Sept. 11, at Calumet Homestead.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Chilton. The Rev. Paul Brick will officiate with burial at St. Gregory Cemetery, St. Nazianz.

Mrs. Schwab was born June 29, 1898, at St. Nazianz, daughter of the late Charles and Anna Betel Schweitzer. She married Frank Schwab Nov. 18, 1935, at St. Nazianz. The couple farmed near St. Nazianz until 1967 when they moved to Chilton. Mrs. Schwab entered Willowdale Nursing Home in Feb. 1980 and Calumet Nursing Home March 1981.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Salvina Mertens of St. Mary Nursing Home, Manitowoc; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband July 1, 1981.

Friends may call at Wieting Funeral Home in Chilton 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday from 7:45 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. when family rites will be held. A parish vigil will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
