(May 17, 1909-Dec. 18, 1984 –husband of June nee Reilly –son of Simon Strauss and Anna Straka –born in Wisconsin –Herman had a twin who died at birth –farmer –on Sept. 30, 1953 purchased the 100 acre farm at 20423 Carstens Lake Road –worked this farm until selling the farmstead on Oct. 12, 1979 to Kenneth and Doreen Bessert –in 1978 retired from the farm and moved to St. Nazianz –on Oct. 31, 1978 purchased the house at 120 Colonial Drive, St. Nazianz –lived in this house until his death in 1984 –his widow June continued to live here until selling on Sept. 25, 1992 –died from "cardiopulmonary arrest, Easton Lambert syndrome and pneumonia –oat cell carcinoma of the lung with bone metastasis") – 5-6-7
