Harold Statham Martin, 96, of 111 Circle Drive died Sunday, March 11, 2001.

A native of Statham, Mr. Martin was a son of the late Andrew L. and Elizabeth Arnold Martin and was the widower of Cora M. Martin. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Eva Jane Martin, and by two sons, Harold Martin Jr. and James D. Martin. He was a farmer and was a member of Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Wise-Connolly Funeral Home with Pastor Jennifer Horton and the Rev. Wilburn M. Hill officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church cemetery.

Survivors include three daughters, Jean Williamson and Joanne Bennett, both of Winder, and Sara J. Hill, Rutledge; four sons, John Martin, Monroe, Joseph Martin, Ellenwood, Jerry Martin and Wayne Martin, both of Winder; a sister, Margarite Fisher, Doraville; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Martin, Ricky Martin, Mike Williamson, Tim Hill, Steven Hill and Jody Martin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Russell Nursing Home Activities Department or to Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church.
