ATCHISON - Mrs. Etta C. Peery, 98, Atchison, a former Topekan, died Sunday in a nursing home here. She was born July 19, 1874 at Savannah, Mo. She later lived at Kansas City, where she attended schools. She lived at Huron in Atchison County before she moved to Topeka in 1923. She had been a member of the former Presbyterian Church at Huron.
She was married to Eldon Peery in Feb. of 1895. He died in August of 1919. She also was preceded in death by a daughter. Survivors include 3 sons, Walter Peery and Donald Peery, both of Topeka, and Edwin H. Peery, Sun City, Ariz.; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Binger, Mena, Ark.; 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at Stanton Mortuary at Atchison with burial in Miller Cemetery east of Everest.
