Bessie V. Wallace, 92, of Delbarton, W.Va., died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at the Cabell-Huntington Hospital, Huntington, W.Va.
She was born June 21, 1920, in Lincoln County, W.Va., the daughter of the late Frank and Mahalia Porter Johnson.
She was a wife, mother and homemaker.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Granville Wallace.
She is survived by her children, Terry Wallace of Georgia, Ginger Wallace of Holbert, Ind., Sandy Varney of Naugatuck, W.Va., Kathy Wallace of South Point, Ohio, Tammy Hatfield of Varney, W.Va., and Tonda Branham of Ragland, W.Va., 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2012, in the Chafin Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Will Compton officiating. Burial will follow in Lenore Memorial Gardens, Lenore, W.Va.
Arrangements are under direction of Chafin Funeral Home of Delbarton.
