It is believed Zilphia "Zilphy" Durden Rountree is buried in this cemetery. She was a member of Old Canoochee Primitive Baptist Church, and died after 1870. This was after the church was moved to it's present location. Since she is not buried at Old Canoochee Cemetery across from Old Canoochee Church's present location, it stands to reason she would've been buried with her husband, Joshua, at Old Canoochee Church's original location.
