The remaining two daughters, Mary's sisters, were cared for by their maternal grandmother in Kansas until they could get by on their own.

The marker inscriptions from that time have reportedly not survived.
Gravesite Details
Mary's remains were buried in either Eliza Creek or Miller cemeteries. A search of both failed to find her marker, but it was reported that most 19th-century markers in Eliza Creek
