Mrs. Ruth Dale Sidebottom Gumm, daughter of the late E.L. Sidebottom and Mrs. Mary B. Caven Sidebottom was born August 8,1905 in Green County and departed this life on February 7 [1990] at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital. She was 84 years and six months old. She was a member of the Old Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She united in marriage to Mr. Everett Gumm, who preceded her in death on August 8,1976. To this union were born two sons and one daughter. Surviving are Norman Louis Gumm of DeRidder, La. and Mary Uldon Parr of Louisville. Doyle Wilson Gumm preceded her in death Nov. 20, 1987. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Grace McFelia of Greensburg, ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Dale Sidebottom Gumm were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at the Warren F. Toler Memorial Chapel with burial in the O'Banion Cemetery. Rev. Chester VanDyke officiated. Pallbearers were Dennis Gumm, Billy Gumm, Eric Parr, Jerry Jeffries, Rick Markle and J.R. Gonterman.
