Eric M. Johnson
1941 - 2012
Eric M. Johnson, 70, of Kenosha, died on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at Aurora Medical Center.
Born in Milwaukee on Oct. 23, 1941, he was the son of the late George and Ruth (Lutz) Johnson.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany from 1958 until his honorable discharge in 1962.
He was employed with AMC/Chrysler Corporation for 26 years, retiring as a supervisor.
Eric was then employed in the maintenance department at Prime Outlet Mall. While at AMC, he was a member of the Supervisors Club.
In spite of the challenges he faced after losing his arm in a work accident, he became an avid motorcyclist and enthusiast and enjoyed motor sports racing, vintage cars and bowling. In later years, his life was fulfilled by spending time with his grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joanne Freeck.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. Interment with full military honors will follow in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. A visitation for Eric will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 28, from
5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
