DANNY HATFIELD
1959 - 2012
Danny Keith Hatfield, 53, of Man, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012, in Boone County.
Born June 15, 1959, at Welch, he was a son of Leander Hatfield of Landville and the late Janice Boggess Hatfield.
Danny was a coal miner, employed as a scoop operator with Kanawha Eagle Coal Company, and of the Freewill Baptist faith. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Danny loved sports and was an avid WV Mountaineer fan. Danny also loved music but most of all he loved spending time with his wonderful family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved.
Also preceding him in death was one brother, Michael Bruce Hatfield, one sister, Wanda Lee Lester, maternal grandparents, Rastus P. and Wilma Lester, paternal grandparents, Bruce and Rosie Hatfield, and father-in-law, Clayton Brown.
Survivors include is loving wife, Lisa Brown Hatfield, three sons, Danny Keith Hatfield of Verner, Jeremy Hatfield (fiancée Stephanie Maynard) of Whitman, and Dakota Hatfield of Man, three daughters, Alexis Hatfield, Savannah Hatfield and Gabrielle Hatfield, all of Man, his step-mother, Faye Hatfield, brother, Greg (Lori) Hatfield of Louisburg, NC., four sisters, Kay Justice of Cooks Addition, Vickie (Benny) Grimmett of Landville, Lisa (Timothy) Browning of Whitman and Tonya Hatfield of Madison, one expected grandson, Jayden Hatfield, his mother-in-law, Carolyn Brown of Macon, GA.,many nieces and nephews, and a host of other dear relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2012, at Greenville Freewill Baptist Church at Hunt, with Rev. Mike Johnson and Pastor Joaquine Ooten officiating. Burial will follow in the Browning Dye Cemetery at Verner.
Friends may gather with the family from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Pallbearers will be the Kanawha Eagle work crew: Vennie Morris, Wilson Goad, Robert "Pindog" Goad, Robbie Deboard, Eric Dotson, Greg Williams and James "Romeo" Elkins.
