FELIPA CANDELARIA
Mrs. Felipa Plata Candelaria, 81, of 1010 E. Pine St. in Victoria, died Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in her home following a short illness.
Born May 28, 1899 in Cuero to the late Benito and Monica Hagani Plata. Mrs. Candelaria was a member of Second Presbyterian Church who had lived in the Victoria area for 52 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Candelaria, on Sept. 30, 1975.
Funeral services will be Friday at 3:30 p.m. in Second Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Fernando Padilla officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Candelaria is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Eulalia Lillie Serrata and Mrs. George Santiago, both of Victoria, Mrs. John Balli of Corpus Christi, Mrs. Antonia Mendez of San Antonio and Mrs. August Laurel of Three Rivers; a son, Selestino Candelaria of Victoria; three sisters, Mrs. Juanita Balderaz of Victoria, Mrs. Lupe Hernandez of Corpus Christi and Mrs. Eloisa Stone of San Antonio; 33 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Felipa Plata Candelaria, 81, of 1010 E. Pine St., who died Wednesday afternoon at her residence, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Second Presbyterian Church.
The Rev. Fernando Padilla will officiate with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Artero Memorial Chapels.
Pallbearers will be David Candelaria, Alvin Gonzales Jr., Robert C. Serrata, Adolph Mendez III, George Santiago Jr. and Edward Balli.
Members of the floral committee are Angie Santiago, Gracie Alvarez, Denise and Derise Rodriguez, Sylvia Serrata and Julie Gonzales.
