Richard Parker Hall, 76, died unexpectedly on October 2, 2012.

He was born December 6, 1935 in Rosemount, MN to Morris and Christine (Juvland) Hall. Richard married Beatrice Taylor in 1957. They resided in Cannon Falls during their 23 years of marriage and had five children. He worked at Armour Dial Corp. for 35 years. Also during that time he ran the family farm.

Richard later married Carmen White and resided in Huron, South Dakota until her death. After that he lived with Norma Kapela in Robbinsdale for 20 years. For the last several years, he resided in Cannon Falls with his daughter Lynda and grandson Justin.

Richard played in a band called "Jolly Joe's Polka Band' from 1969-1986. He loved his music and continued to entertain with his guitar and songs. His other passions were looking out for his family, hunting, fishing and always giving spiritual words of wisdom.

Richard is survived by Bea Hall, his children Sherri (Mike) Chambers, Cannon Falls, Lorri (Paul) Gergen, Randolph, Brenda Neiman Trego, WI, Rick Hall (special friend Archie Docktor), Cannon Falls, and Lynda Hall, Cannon Falls; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; extended stepchildren; and special friends Norma Kapela, Frank Lindholm and Harvey Kowalzek. He is also survived by his sisters Mardell (Dick Doffing), Diane (Jim) Lundell, and brothers Ronald (Kathy) Hall, and Gerald (Jan) Hall, all of Cannon Falls.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents Morris and Christine Hall, wife Carmen Hall, brother-in-law Don Sande, and granddaughter Amber Hall.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 6 at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church, Cannon Falls. Interment was at the Cannon Falls Cemetery.

Casketbearers were Alan Gergen, Brock Evenson, Tom Gergen, Zachery Hall, Jason Gergen, Jered Chambers, and Justin Hall.

Richard was a very generous and giving person. The family will always treasure the special memories he has given them.
