He is survived by his wife, Karen Harp of Williamsburg, Kentucky; two daughters, Candy Curnutt and her husband Jimmy and Sandy Brown and her husband Jimmy, all of Williamsburg, Kentucky; one son, Daniel Allen Beattie and his wife Dana of Williamsburg, Kentucky; 7 grandchildren, Hunter Brown, Zoie Brown, Jacob Curnutt, Jayla Curnutt, Destiny Beattie, Samantha Beattie and Amber Beattie; one brother, Larry Harp and his wife Debbie of Williamsburg, Kentucky; one sister, Karen Powell and her husband Willie of Williamsburg, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services was held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Carte and Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating. He was laid to rest in the Moses Addition of Pleasant View Cemetery in Williamsburg. The Volunteer Firemen of Whitley County served as pallbearers.
