WENDELL L. HINKLE, 52 years of age of Grundy, VA passed away Friday, March 5, 2004 at his home. Born in Mingo County, WV April 1, 1951 he was the son of the William (Billy) Hinkle and Ollie Ray Hinkle of Oakwood, VA. He was a graduate of Clinch Valley College where he received his degree in Education, enjoyed woodworking, his computers and gardening.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife of 16 years: Regina Tickle Hinkle of Grundy, VA; one sister: Diana Hinkle Stacy of Grundy, VA; three brothers: Jerry Hinkle of Mavisdale, VA, Monroe Hinkle and Danny Hinkle both of Oakwood, VA. He is also survived by three nieces, two nephews and two great-nephews.
Funeral services for Wendell L. Hinkle will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, VA with Minister Paul Mays, Elder James Stacy and Elder Gary Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, VA.
Active Pallbearers will be Chase Hinkle, Alvin Shepard, Stanley Stacy, James Stacy, Wade Dye, Quinton Dye and Harold Malcolm. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Clint Sutherland and Roby Stacy.
