Fell at Vimy Ridge on April 9, 1917 along with his brother, Stanley McKay, age 18, who died in the battle. Kenneth, age 21, died at a later date, due to complications of influenza and broncho pneumonia at the No. 14 Canadian General Hospital in Eastbourne, Sussex, England.
