OBITUARY
IMOGENE WARREN
---Imogene Warren, age 100 of Olathe, Kansas and formerly of the Kansas City area passed away Sunday (August 12, 2012) at Aberdeen Village in Olathe, Kansas.
---Imogene was born August 7, 1912 in Atlanta (Macon County), Missouri the daughter of Raymond and Eunice (Atterberry) Snow. On September 24, 1939 at Kansas City, Missouri she was united in marriage to Glenn Richard Warren, who preceded her in death on June 23, 1989.
---She was also preceded in death by a brother, A.L. Snow and a sister, Harriet Snow Schorer.
---Imogene was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, St. Joseph Junior College and Huff Business College.
---Survivors include her children, Don R. Warren, Anne K. Warren and Ellen L. Duffield and their families, including six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, her brother, Charles B. Snow, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
---To celebrate her 100th birthday, Imogene greeted over 300 party guests and even danced with her "baby" brother. A few days later, on August 12, 2012, her final wish was fulfilled when she transitioned peacefully. The family honors her completion of life "Imogene Style" and according to her wishes, will not hold a memorial service.
---A generous personality, love of adventure, and positive outlook defined Imogene. She was energetic, highly creative and encouraged people to be and do their best. She expanded the experience of life for all who knew her and leaves a legacy of joy. In her memory, may you nurture joy in your heart, your family, your community and our world.
---Imogene served as a 4-H leader, "Rodeo Kid" mom, school and church supporter. Her membership in Wornall Road Church spanned eight decades. She was a member of DAR and hosted an AFS International exchange student for a year. Her love of school and people took her around the world and her love of family took her cross-country treks to stay connected with kids and grandkids.
---Interment of her remains will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday (October 20, 2012) at Mt. Tabor Cemetery, east of Atlanta, Missouri. Her son, Don Warren, will officiate the service.
---Elliott Funeral Home of Atlanta is in charge of arrangements.
