Husband of Stella Stacey ..
Funeral Services were held this afternoon for Wade Barber, 64, of Moody Road, who died Monday in a local Hospital.
The Rev J.W. Dawsey officiated at services in the Church of God, with internment in Peniel Cemetery.
Surviving Mr Barber, who was a retired custodian of Silver Lake School and a resident of Palatka for 40 years, are his widow, Mrs Stella Stacey Barber; seven daughters, Mrs Geneva Johns, Mrs Jeanette Hurst, Mrs Trenda Chesser, Mrs Irene Moore, Mrs Loraine Bartlett, Mrs Reba Gay Ellison and Miss Peggy Barber; Four sons, Wade L Barber, Keith Barber, Verell Barber and Ronnie Barber, all of Palatka; three sisters, Mrs Hattie Smith, Palatka, Mrs Pearl Motes, Hollister, and Mrs Grace Futch, Port Orange; and a brother, Bob Barber. Twenty four grandchildren also survive.
Masters Funeral Home was in charge.
