Peter was killed in action Thursday, November 11, 2004 in Lutifiyah, Iraq while serving his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, Weapons Company, 2nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, cherished son of John and Angie (nee Zahareas), loving brother to Nick and Michael, dear grandson of Peter and Helen Giannopoulos and Olga and the late Nick Zahareas.
