Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary in Riverside, Calif. Interment will be in Riverside National Cemetery.
Jacob Raymond Basgall was born March 12, 1921, in Mason City, Iowa.
Jacob retired from the Long Beach Naval Ship Yard after 32 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy for six years during World War II as a ship fitter first class.
Jacob is survived by a son, Larry J. Basgall, of Newberry Springs, Calif.; sisters, Maggie Reed and Bobbie Lenhart, both of Clear Lake, Iowa; two grandchildren, Julie Buenrostro and Brad Basgall; and six great-grandchildren.
