He was a member of Fountain City Presbyterian Church and had been an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Iola. For the past few years he had pastored Big Spring Presbyterian Church in Friendsville, Tenn.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary; daughters and son-in-law, Laura and Earl Roberts and Heather Crail; grandsons, Chris and Justin Roberts; a brother, Richard; a sister, Elizabeth Patton; and several nieces and nephews.
