Son of Richard Beeson and Anna Chipman Armfield. Husband of Jennie Britt Armfield. His father was a blacksmith.

Additional information from a great-grandchild:

"My paternal great-grandfather, Wyatt Jackson Armfield, died some 6 weeks short of his 90th birthday on October 12, 1933. The newspaper account and the webpage,
which repeats it, erroneously state that he died at the age of 93. Mrs. R.T. Pickens, named in the obituary as his daughter, was my maternal grandmother, Blanche Armfield Pickens. In addition to my great-grandfather, she and my
grandfather (R.T. Pickens, Sr.), her mother (Jeanie Britt Armfield), her brother Eugene (mentioned in the obit), and her youngest daughter Annette Emily Pickens are buried in the mausoleum shown on the webpage."
