Scott was born and raised in Turnberry Twp, Huron County, Ontario, moving off the farm to Michigan as an adult. He was first interred with his parents as he had wished at Wingham Cemetery, then removed to Michigan by immediate family about nine years later. His footstone pictured here was also removed at that time.
