Vivian F. Hurlbutt, 91, of 209 S. Holmes, Cambridge, formerly of Galva, died at 9 p.m. Friday, July 1, 1994, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in rural Geneseo.
Born April 29, 1913, in Henry County to Frank and Vendla Lindstrom Hurlbutt, he married Vernice V. Janssen on December 9, 1944 in LaFayette. She died Feb. 15, 1987. He also was preceded in death by one brother and one daughter.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Caroline) Anderson of Galesburg and Mrs. Terry (Patty Lou) Scott of Geneseo, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
A farmer, he farmed in Burns Township in rural Galva, retiring in 1974.
Visitation and services were at Rux-Schuster Funeral Home in Galva. Burial was in Galva Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
