CAIN, FRED L. - age 80 of Alcoa died Thursday, January 6, 2000 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was retired from ALCOA and was a member of the ALCOA 25 year club. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Minnie Buckner Cain; son, Lewis Edward Hayes; brother, Jacob Luther Cain; sisters Edith Shields and Viola Cain. Survivors include his wife Myrtle Mae Cain, of Alcoa; daughter and son in law, Cynthia and Mike Dunlap, of Louisville; daughter, Hilda Cain, of Alexandria, Va.; son and daughter in law, Charles R. and Donna Hayes, of Maryville; grandchildren, Stacie Dunlap, Christopher Dunlap, Bryan Hayes, Matthew Hayes, Randall Hayes, Army Hayes, and Rebecca Hayes, Michael Hayes, Jessica Loy, Randal Hayes and wife, Tammy; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Bessie Bowers, of Maryville, Mattie Sluter, of Benton, Tenn.; niece, Helen Webb. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Armstrong officiating. The interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at McCammon-Ammons Funeral Home, Maryville.
