Louise J. Hammond, age 89, formerly of Chemung, NY passed away Friday, March 19, 2004, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira, NY. Louise was born in Wellsburg, NY daughter of the late Jesse and Grace (Theetge) Hammond. Louise was a lifetime member of the Chemung Baptist Church. Survivors include her brother, Robert (Shirley) Hammond of Waverly, NY along with several nieces and nephews. Louise was predeceased by her brother, Frank and her sister, Edna Sheive. Funeral service will be held at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home on Monday, March 22, 2004 at 11 a.m. with Deacon George Welch officiating. Interment will take place in Ashland Cemetery at the Convenience of the family. Louise will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
