BROWN, Thomas J., aged 71 years, Oct. 1, 1930, residence 1354 24th St. Beloved husband of Louise E. Brown, fond father of Shirley Albrecht, Beverly Brown, Donald Brown and Charlene Brown. 3 grandchildren also survive. Remains in state Friday at the Independent Mortuary, 473 27th St. Funeral services Saturday, Oct. 4 at 3 p.m. from St. John's Methodist Church, 1353 W. 24th St. Interment Wisconsin Memorial Park. Remains in state at the church from 11 a.m. Saturday until time of service.

Thomas Jefferson Brown was the 6th child born to William Henry Brown and Elizabeth Frank. He was born January 9, 1859 in or near West Jefferson, Ohio.
Thomas married Harriet Virginia Rae Hardy, the youngest of five children. Three boys and two girls.
Thomas and Harriet were married in the M.E. Church South, Hinton, West Virginia in 1888 (date not established, only the year). He was 29 years old and she was 20.
Thomas and Harriet had four children:
(1) Shirley Stilwell Brown Albrecht (May 29, 1890 - Jan 25, 1965)
(2) Thomas Hardy Brown (1892-1893)
(3) Bessie Beatrice Brown (Apr 23, 1896 - Mar 14, 1897)
(4) Robert Hoffman Brown (1901-1901)
Thomas and Robert were both buried in a cemetery on a mountain side in Hinton, WV.
Harriet Brown died Sept. 7, 1901 and she with her daughter Bessie were buried in the family plot in Sedalia, MO.

(2) Donald D. Brown (b. May 22, 1905)
