John L. Beckelhimer
Funeral services for John Luther Beckelhimer, 45, of 301 Pine Lodge Drive, will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Ice in charge. Burial will be in the Calfee Cemetery at Mount Tabor.
Beckelhimer, a truck driver, who was a lifelong resident of this area, died Tuesday in Nashville, Tenn. after suffering an apparent heart attack.
He was born in Oak Hill November 30, 1929, the son of Snowden Beckelhimer of Beckley and the late Myrtle Maynor Beckelhimer.
He is also survived by his wife, Julia Ostafin Beckelhimer; two daughters, Mrs. Teresa Crouse and Lisa Beckelhimer, both at home; three sons, John of Sumpter, S.C., and Jamie and Toby, both at home; a sister, Mrs. Doff Bender of Hollywood, Fla., and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
