Mary Frances Bridges Fendley 99, of Paris, passed away at 10:20 PM, Monday, April 18, 2016 at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services are set for 11:00 PM, Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Bonham Street Church of Christ with Bro. Curry Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friend from 6:00-7:00 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

Mary Frances was born March 7, 1917 in the Atlas Community of Lamar County to Steven and Emma Maude Smith Bridges. She graduated from Paris High School and married Curtis Clifton Fendley in 1936. He died May 1, 1975. Mrs. Fendley was very active in several organizations including being a 50 year Rebecca and a volunteer with St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary for 25 years. She was retired from Campbell Soup and was a lifetime member of the Bonham Street Church of Christ. She was strong willed and devoted to the very end.

Survivors include her four children, Emma Gail Starkey of Dallas, Curtis Fendley and wife, Barbara of Paris, Stevie Fendley of Allen, and Jack Fendley and fiancé, Jerilou Bankston of Sumner; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Emory Bridges; a son-in-law, Billy Starkey; and a niece Billie Adams.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Tammie Starkey, Stephanie Hayes, Clifton Fendley, Amelia Frierson, Claudia Middleton, Chad Fendley, Matt Fendley, Nicole Burnett, and Steven Fendley.
