Age 87, of Brookville, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ward & Lela (Fellers) Spitler; siblings, Don & Junior Spitler and Lavon Dibley. Jean also had a brother, Jim Spitler, pass away on the same day as her. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jack; 3 children & their spouses, Jerry & Karen Haupt, Jill & Mark Gordon and Joe & Brenda Haupt; grandchildren, Holley (Bill) Highley, Mary Gordon, Philip Gordon, Matt (Jonell) Haupt, Aaron (Trisha) Haupt & Issaac Haupt; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Danielle) Spitler & Marvin (Shirley) Spitler and numerous nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held 12 PM Wed. Nov. 23 at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE, with Pastor Jerry Haupt officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery, Brookville. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wed. from 10 AM until service time.
