BROWN SERVICES TO BE THURSDAY
Funeral services will be held at the Lett Chapel at 2 P.M., Thursday for Margaret Jane Brown, 64, who died Sunday at St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness.
Dr. Carroll Prouty of the Methodist Church will officiate with burial in Thurman, Iowa.
Mrs. Brown was born April 18, 1897, at Solomon, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Erastus Abbott. In 1913, she married Oscar Brown, who died in 1921 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Mrs. Brown lived at Thurman before she moved here 34 years ago. She was Methodist.
Surviving children are Mrs. Mary Shaw, Superior, Nebraska; Neal, Julian, Nebraska, Earl, Nebraska City, Nebraska; Mrs. Lucille Pierce, Bristol, Iowa, and Mrs. Betty Howard, Omaha, Nebraska. A daughter, Gayle, died in 1936.
Other survivors are her mother, Mrs. Fannie Abbott, Nebraska City, Nebraska; a sister, Elsie Cohn, Colon, Nebraska, and two brothers, Albert and Pete of Nebraska City, Nebraska.

Margaret Abbott Brown services held Thursday at 2 PM at the Lett Chapel with Dr. Carroll Prouty officiating. Burial will be February 7, 1962 at Thurman, Iowa. Pallbearers will be Darold, Bobbie, and Gene Abbott, and Delbert Barrett, all of Nebraska City, Bernard Abbott, Omaha, and Howard Miller, Dunbar, Nebraska.
