Jacob METTLER married Katharina GOEHRING on the 28 October 1879 in Menno, Hutchinson County, South Dakota. The couple was blessed with no less than 11 children; Andrew J, Jacob J, Christina, Katharina, Lydia, Paulina J, Gottfried, Margaret, Magdalena, Helena and Ida.
