Doris Jean Cummings, 65, Henderson, died at 4:01 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012, at St. Anthony's Hospice Lucy Smith King Care Center.

She was a member of First Baptist Church. Doris greatly loved her Sunday school class. She was a retired hairdresser.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Paul and Louise Orene Keown; and one brother, William Paul Keown Jr.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Tom; two sons, John Paul Cummings and his wife, Tricia, of Henderson and Jimmy Cummings of Evansville; three sisters, Wanda Harding of Alabama, Joyce Hendricks of Louisville and JoAnn Richards of Bowling Green; five granddaughters, Emily Cummings, Lauren Cummings, Carly Cummings, Skye Goodman and Aidan Cummings; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home. The Rev. Alan Chamness and the Rev. Rich Stratton will officiate. Entombment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to First Baptist Church or St. Anthony's Hospice.

Pallbearers will be Joe Doom, Terry Sutton, David Cummings, Bill Sherman, Bill Rideout, John L. Vukovich and Robert "Bob" Harrison.
