Nancy was born March 25, 1931, in Merrill, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (McCormick) Hassenfus. She married Hank Huntington on November 20, 1954 in Wausau. He preceded her in death March 12, 2002.

Nancy was employed by the Wausau School District at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School for over 25 years until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time at the cottage, listening to country music and reading. She also enjoyed being around the students and faculty at Jefferson School. Nancy was a good listener to the young and old alike. She loved her family, especially the “little ones”.

Survivors include one daughter, Sue (Ted) Weeks, Milladore; one son, Scott (Sue) Huntington, Wausau; four granddaughters, Nicole Woller (Jim & Jacob), Katie Woller, Abby Huntington, Molly Huntington; one sister, Claire (Ron) Brusky, Wausau; one brother, Robert (Irene) Hassenfus, Lockport, Illinois; special friend, Carla Janikowski and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Hank, and her parents she was preceded in death by her infant son, John Henry; two sisters, Joan Knapp and Mary Ann Boehm.
