Kettlehut (sic) - Abellbeck (sic)

Last Friday at one o'clock occurred the marriage of Ida Abellbeck (sic) to Albert Kettlehut (sic) at the St. Peters church (sic), Rev Schardt officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Abellbeck (sic). The groom is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Kettlehut (sic). The bride wore a gown of hannibal silk trimmed in white silk shadow lace and rose buds and was accompanied to the altar by Clara Kettlehut (sic) and Minnie Abellbeck (sic). The groom was accompaied (sic) by Messrs Edward Kettlehut (sic) and Emil Abellbeck (sic).

After the ceremony the young couple autoed to the brides home where an elaborate supper was served to about a hundred guests.

The young couple will be at home after March 1st, to their friends on the Wm. Abellbeck (sic) farm, north-west of town - Byron Messenger.

Double Funeral for Mother and Daughter

Double funeral services will be held for a mother and daughter, Mrs. Ida Kettelhut and Marlene Kettelhut, Thursday, December 7, 2 p.m. at the St. Peter Lutheran church (sic), northwest of Byron.

Mrs. Ida M. Kettelhut, 80, was born December 14, 1897 and died December 4, 1978 at the Republic County Hospital.

Marlene J. Kettelhut, 44, was born March 21, 1934 and died December 5, 1978.

Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran cemetery (sic).

Ida Kettelhut

Ida M. Kettelhut was born to William and Emma Abelbeck on December 14, 1897, northwest of Byron.

She married Albert J. Kettelhut on January 26, 1917 with Rev. Schardt officiating. Ida and Albert moved their home to its present location in 1918. To this union were born two children.

She died December 4 at the Republic County Hospital, Belleville at the age of 80 years, 11 months and 20 days.

Ida was preceded in death by her husband Albert, April 21, 1977 and by two sisters, Mrs. Herman (Rose) Rohrs, and Mrs. William (Minnie) Koch.

She is survived by her brother Amel of Superior, her sister, Mrs. Lloyd (Ellen) Davidson of Deshler; son Clarence, and one granddaughter, LuAnn all of Byron.

Funeral services were held at the St. Peter Lutheran church (sic) of Byron, Thursday, December 7 at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Pastor Gregory J. Hanneman.

Interment was made in St. Peter Lutheran cemetery (sic).
