Mr. Barnett was a self-employed truck driver for 25 years, and lived most of his life in the Michigantown area.
He was born June 9, 1919, in Clinton County, to Lonnie and Rozella Carter Barnett. He married Rosemary Draper on December 13, 1951, and she died in 1976.
Surviving are two sons, Wesley G. of Ft. Beach, Florida, and Charles R. of Hagerstown; one daughter, Charlotte Bass of Muncie; and a sister, Betty L. Bond of Boyleston. He had four grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Pavey officiating. Burial will be at Whiteman Cemetery. Friends may call 3-7 p.m. Sunday.
