Mrs. Blanch died at 7:30 a.m. yesterday (March 23, 1981) in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
She lived most of her life in Clinton County and was a member of the Boyleston Baptist Church, Michigantown Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary and the Red Cross. She and her husband formerly owned and operated the Boyleston Grain Company and she had worked in the Clinton County Surveyor's Office and the Purdue University Agriculture Department.
She was born September 4, 1917, in Clinton County, to Lawrence J. and Ethel (Dame) Aitkens. On June 29, 1940, she married Charles W. Blanch, and he survives.
Other survivors include her mother; two sons, Don E. of Michigantown rt. 1 and son Dale M. of Argos rt. 2; two brothers, Maurice Aitkens of Frankfort rt. 7 and Paul Aitkens of Michigantown rt. 1; and five grandchildren.
Burial will be in Whiteman Cemetery.
