Elvis married second to Orpha Brewer on November 17, 1895 in Gentry County, Missouri. Twin sons, Horace and Morris "Jack". She died in 1917.

Elvis was a retired clerk of the county court. Res. in St. Joseph for 43 years. Formerly of Albany, MO. He died of acute coronary thrombosis due to arteriosclerotic heart disease at home, 1306 North 22nd Street, aged 74y 9m 4d. Buried in Memorial Park Cemetery.
