He was born on Dec. 17, 1940, in Chicago, Ill., to William T. and Dorothy (Opsal) Doeseckle. On Dec.10, 1988, he married Linda K. Jabs in Madison. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Madison.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; children, Carmen DeVoss of Bagley, Erika (Robert Keene) Doeseckle of Hyde, Jason Doeseckle of Monona, Iowa, Charlie Doeseckle of Dodgeville; nine grandchildren; two great-grandsons; sister, Patricia (LeRoy) Rhyner of Mount Horeb; brother-in-law, Bill (Avis) Jabs of Sun Prairie; two sisters-in-law, Betty (Paul) Garczynski of Madison, and Lois (Paul) Seidel of Green Bay; other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Chuck Doeseckle; and father and mother-in-law, Bob and Claris Jabs, a sister-in-law, Barbara Malliet.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m.on Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 4200 Mineral Point Road, Madison, with Monsignor Kenneth Fiedler officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mount Horeb. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug.30, 2012, at ELLESTAD CAMACHO FUNERAL HOME, 500 N. 8th Street, Mount Horeb.
