Mrs. Henry Schmidt

St. Charles, Minn. Mrs. Henry Schmidt, 73, died Friday at University of Minnesota Hospitals, Minneapolis, Minneapolis, after an eight month illness.

The former Clara Reimer, she was born April 30, 1885.

She was married to Henry Schmidt Feb. 20, 1917, at Milwaukee. They moved here three years later. Mrs. Schmidt was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church's St. Ann's Society.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. V. R. (Virginia) Walker and Mrs. Harold (Mildred) Lica, Winona; two sisters, Mrs. Kate Kohn and Mrs. Theresa Reimer, Milwaukee; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A daughter, Viola, three brothers and two sisters have died.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church, the Rev. James Fasnacht, officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.

Friends may call from Monday noon at Sellner Funeral Home. Rosary will be said at 3 and 9 p.m. Monday. Winona Daily News, Aug. 23, 1958
