April 27, 1897, Squadron A escorted President Harrison at the dedication of the Grant Monument.

October 8 - 11, 1897, Squadron A took part in Field maneuvers with the First Brigade, at Van Cortlandt Park.

He was discharged from Squadron A in 1898,
