Ervin Anderson Dies Thursday
Served Peshtigo As City Treasurer

PESHTIGO – Ervin Anderson, 56, former Peshtigo city treasurer, died in the Veteran Hospital at Wood, WI Thursday after receiving treatment there for several days.
He was born in Peshtigo, December 27, 1900, and was graduated from high school in 1919 and then attended the University of Wisconsin.

He never married and was employed in the Peshtigo State Bank as assistant cashier for several years. Later he being elected city treasurer from 1939 to 1942. He moved where he was employed by the Oscar Mayer Company. He was in the armed forces during World War II, serving in the area of the Persian Gulf.

Surviving are a sister, Inez Anderson
and two brothers, Arthur Anderson of Madison and Herbert Anderson of Peshtigo.

Funeral services are tentatively arranged for Sunday at 1:30 in the Berth-Rosenthal funeral home with military rites planned. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery here.
