OBITUARY :
JANE L. (HAMILTON) WEAVER, age 88, formerly of Greencastle, Pa., and a resident of the Quincy Retirement Home Quincy, Pa., for the past three years died at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, in the nursing home.

Born June 22, 1924, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Robert Earl Sr. and Brownie (Carter) Hamilton.

She and her beloved husband, Warren E. "Puff" Weaver, were married on Nov. 3, 1941. He died on May 8, 2010. He was the love of her life and they had met at Pen Mar while he was serving in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Jane was a devoted wife and homemaker and was a member of the Greencastle Presbyterian Church. She attended Hagerstown High School. Her interests and hobbies included bird watching, shopping, traveling in the USA and abroad, Sunday car rides, spending time with family and friends, cooking, listening to music, dancing and fine dining experiences with her late husband.

Surviving family are one daughter Pamela A. Knepper, Greencastle, one son Steven M. and wife Linda K. Weaver, State Line, Pa., one grandson Greg E. and wife Cherie Weaver, Greencastle, three great-grandchildren Isabella, Christiana, Andrew, two brothers William C. Hamilton and Joseph F. Hamilton, both of Hagerstown, Md., and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert E. Hamilton Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Monday Oct. 29, at 10:30 a.m. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, with Rev. Taylor Camerer officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, Pa. 17110, Greencastle Presbyterian Church 57 W. Baltimore St., Greencastle, Pa. 17225, or to the Lutheran Home Care And Hospice, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, Pa. 17202.
