Billy Joe Clark, 64, of South Point, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012 at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Prestonsburg, KY native was born July 1, 1948, the son of Helen Powers Clark of Ironton and the late James R. Clark.

He was a 1966 graduate of Dawson Bryant High School and a U. S. Army Veteran. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 8850 and a foreman for Armco Steel, retiring in 1988. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by
2 brothers, James Monroe Clark and Bobby Clark;
his 2 special pets Booger and Dale.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by
his former wife, Lena Blevins Clark of Coal Grove;
2 daughters, Julie Clark of Ironton and Christina Bowen of Wheelersburg;
a son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Dianna Clark of Kankakee, Illinois;
3 brothers, Terry and Liz Clark of Ironton, Timmy and Melinda Clark of Russell, KY, and Jeff "Bub" Clark of Ironton;
4 sisters, Brenda and Jack Hale of South Point, Wanda and Jeff Harmon of Coal Grove, Sharon and Rock Massie of Kitts Hill, and Cathy and Roy Slone of Franklin Furnace;
a sister-in-law, Lynn Clark of South Point;
9 grandchildren, Danny Clark of Ironton, Kyle Bowen of Proctorville, Savannah Bowen of South Point, Narisha Remy of Ironton, Jordan Bowen of Wheelersburg, Hannah Remy of Ironton, Blake Bowen of Scottown, Taylor Clark, and Emily Clark both of Kankakee, IL;
4 great grandchildren, Madden Clark and Hayden Clark both of South Point and Kylen Bowen and Brihanna Jenkins both of Proctorville;
a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service at Hayes-Phillips Funeral Home, 509 South Sixth Street, Ironton, Ohio with Bro. Rock Massie officiating. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens with military graveside rites by the V.F.W. Post 8850.
