Harriet Margaret Newkirk was born July 6, 1923, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Jeremiah Malone and Julia Sampson Malone. She was an active member of La Junta Baptist Church and the Azle Senior Center. She was truly loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
Harriet was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Newkirk; son, Mike O'Riley; daughter, Diana Brawley; and grandson, Jason Brawley.
Survivors: Daughters, Pat Elam and husband, Curtis, of Azle, and Linda McHale of Denver, Colo.; stepsons, James Newkirk of Granbury and Billy Newkirk of Cottondale; sisters, Florence Lynch and Josephine Brown, both of New York; grandchildren, Krystal Morris, Cheryl O'Pry, Tim McHale, Sabre O'Riley, Erica Brawley and Kim McHale; and two great-grandchildren.
