Harry E. Windham, 76, of Lamar died on Friday, July 29, at Carolinas Hospital System after an illness.

Funeral services was held Monday, Aug. 1, at 2 p.m. in Zion United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home Lamar Chapel.

Harry was born in the Darlington County. He was the son of the late Josie and Maggie Lou Windham. Harry was a member of Zion United Methodist Church where he served the church in many different capacities. He, along with his wife, own and operate the famous Windham's Pit Stop in Lamar.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Windham of Lamar; his daughter, Caddie (Mickey) English of Lamar; his sons, Gene (Gwen) Windham and Victor Windham, all of Lamar; his grandchildren, Eric (Amy) Windham, Lindsay Gibson and Tommy (Ann) Bochette, all of Lamar; his great-grandchildren, Madison Gibson, Jeremy Bochette and McKinley Windham, all of Lamar; his sisters, Era (Milton) Andrews and Mary Ruth (Ron) Parnell, all of Lamar; and his brother, James "Buddy Roe" (Sally) Windham of Lamar.

Harry was preceded in death by his sisters, Willow Dean Windham and Edna Buie, and by his brother, Josie Windham Jr.
