Former Muncie resident Ruth Ann Spradlin, 82, died following a lengthy illness Monday in Donelson Hospital, Nashville, Tenn.
A native of Tennessee, Mrs. Spradlin lived in Muncie from 1949 to 1990. She had been employed at Warner Gear Division (now Borg-Warner Automotive, Transmission Systems). Prior to moving to Tennessee last year, she resided at The Woodlands nursing home.
Survivors include three nieces, Cindy Dobbins, Nashville, Tenn., Diann Horner, Antioch, Tenn., and Rene Faulk, Fort Lewis, Wash.; and a nephew, Lee Truitt, Eagleville, Tenn.
Her husband, Leander Spradlin, died in 1980.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel. Calling will be 6-8 p.m. in the mortuary. Burial will be in Tomlinson Cemetery, southwest of Muncie.
