He had been employed as a machinist by the International Harvester Co. there until his retirement in 1962. He lived in Chicago all of his life until moving here five months ago.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Peshtigo. He married the former Louise Behnke on May 31, 1919 in Chicago.
She survives with a son Karl Baumann of Marinette;
a daughter Mrs. Elaine Bauman of Pound, WI;
7 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Harper Funeral Home from 5 to 8 pm Friday and at the church Saturday from 10 until 11 am when services will be held. The Rev. Timothy Meier will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery of Peshtigo.
The pallbearers will be Karl Baumann, Dan Everson, Gary Bauman, Robert Johnson, Alvin Adrian and Ray Nasgovitz.
